While home visiting my friends and family, my mother happened to mention that she had ran into my ex of two years. She said that she looked good and had changed her hair. Then added that she was seeing someone. Even though we had been broken up for two years and hadn't talked in one year, it felt like a knife going through my heart. Same deal. She moved on and has someone in her life while I've been single almost a year now with my previous "relationship" being a handful of months. Emotions don't understand the rules.
