About Zack Taylor
I'm a 30 year old software engineer who has always been interested in social interaction. As a former actor, I spent a lot of time trying to understand where people are coming from and what causes them to act in certain ways. My dating life has consisted mostly of serious relationships, as I find the challenge of finding a companion much more interesting than the challenge of finding a date. I'm often found giving dating advice to friends and family as well as reading up on social interaction, psychology, and spirituality. You can follow me on Twitter via @zack_taylor.

Great wingmanship
I noticed her from across the room. Of course, I always notice her when she’s around. Ever since our somewhat dramatic relationship that never was, I’m somehow always able to find her in a room even without trying. Of course, she looked cute…she always does. Her brown hair frame her beautiful face that was tonight [...]
Does she have a boyfriend?
One of the top reasons guys typically give for not approaching a girl is the fear that she has a boyfriend. Whether that really be the main reason or not is debatable, but it at least crosses a guy’s mind when he sees an attractive girl. This, naturally, comes from that part of our brains [...]
The new year’s resolution
Last year, I didn’t have a single date. Not a single one. 2008 was a completely dateless year for me, and that streak extended back to the summer of 2007 through right now. No dates. This year, 2009, I came to the realization that my dreams of marrying and having a family could not come [...]
The appeal of the hot one
At some point, we’ve all seen that other person that makes us stop and say, “wow.” Their sheer physical beauty is beyond what we could imagine and causes an immediate slip into a fantasy world where clothing is optional and you’re together. Men are most often accused of this because, quite frankly, we make it [...]
Better sex tips
Let’s face it, one of the most enjoyable parts of any relationship (or any date that goes really well) is sex. There’s something incredibly liberating, exciting, and fun about tearing off each others clothes and seeing what happens. Or not seeing, if you’re into blindfolds. Whatever flavor you prefer, sex is the ultimate expression of [...]
Mastering the first conversation
Every relationship has to begin somewhere. That starting point, the first conversation, can determine whether you are discarded as “just someone I talked to” or categorized as a friend, or better yet, a romantic interest. There is nothing more important than that first, long conversation. This isn’t just five minutes of banter while standing in [...]
If you love someone, let them go
For as long as I can remember, I’ve heard the phrase, “if you love someone, let them go.” I’ve spent inordinate amounts of time during my life trying to understand the meaning. In high school, I thought the concept was ludicrous. I love her, why the hell would I ever let her go? Adolescence, of [...]
I love it when…
I love it when you look at me and smile that sly smile you have. I know the smile is meant only for me, and it makes me melt every single time. Keep doing it. I love it when you wear my shirts. Especially effective is when the shirt is way too big for you [...]
Be who you want to be with
“And what makes you think you deserve her?” He searched her eyes for any hint of sarcasm but found none. Suddenly he felt self-conscious. “What do you mean?” “Well,” she said, “you’ve just gone on and on about what you want in a girl. What makes you think you actually deserve the girl you describe?” [...]
Loneliness or depression?
It’s normal to feel lonely from time to time. Anyone who’s been single for longer than a couple of months is probably used to this feeling. It sneaks up on you at strange places too. At the movies. While watching TV. Talking with friends. Feeling lonely from time to time is natural and you shouldn’t [...]
